VIGNELLI POSTERS
Over the course of several weeks, I worked on designing, refining, enhancing, and developing posters for a fictional exhibit in San Francisco advertising Vignelli’s work as the central focus. This is the final product.
CONCEPT
The concept of this project was to look through a list of industry-influencing graphic designers, look at the work of each one, and then pick a designer who spoke to me. From there, I had to study their work, study how they changed or impacted the design industry, and then design a poster to advertise a fictional showing of their work.
FINAL PRODUCT
After many different designs, options, instructor feedback, research, and iteration these are the designs I chose. Ultimately, my goal was to show Vignelli’s passion for simplicity within design. The red, yellow, and blue poster was created with his NYC Subway Map design in mind.
